Grapevine, TX got its name from the wild mustang grapes that grew in the area. Downtown Grapevine is full of original and replica buildings dating back to that time. Main Street especially features buildings that have been turned into trendy eateries, boutique shops, and art studios. Located just northwest of Dallas, Grapevine is well-known for its historic charms, Southern hospitality, and wine tasting.

Winewood Grill is a stylish eatery serving elevated American fare. They're known for fresh seafood flown in daily and hearty steak dishes from their wood-fired grill. Diners also love the open kitchen and their jazz brunch Sundays.

For fine dining with the wine bar experience, Ferrari's Italian Villa & Chop House is a local favorite. They specialize in regional Italian cuisine. Traditional pasta and risotto dishes are made from age-old recipes, and their hearty meat and seafood dishes are made with the freshest ingredients. Pair dinner with a bottle from their curated Italian, French, and California wine list.  

Right on historic Main Street, Chez Fabien is a relaxed French-style bistro that draws inspiration from different regions of France. Among diner favorites are their steak frites, beef bourguignon, mussels mariniere, lobster bisque, and French onion soup.

North Texas's largest shopping destination, Grapevine Mills, features over 200 retailers, numerous theme restaurants, and a state-of-the-art movie theater. 

Things to Do in Grapevine, TX


Grapefest is the largest wine festival in the Southwest and celebrates winemaking in Texas, which is home to more than 400 wineries. In addition to numerous wine experiences, there are food vendors, a carnival, live music, and family-friendly activities.

Great Wolf Lodge is the perfect place for a family weekend, with tons of activities, including its signature 80,000-square-foot indoor water park.

Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium is an interactive venue with the only 360-degree ocean tunnel in Texas. Guests can meet rescued sea turtles, learn about marine conservation, and interact with sea creatures in the touch pool.

For golf enthusiasts, there are several courses in Grapevine. The Cowboys Golf Club is the only NFL-themed golf club in the world. The Jeff Brauer-designed championship course pays homage to the Dallas Cowboys, has an onsite restaurant, and hosts numerous competitions and events throughout the year.

For nature lovers, Grapevine Lake is a sprawling 8,000-acre reservoir. It's perfect for boating, fishing, and kayaking. There are over nine miles of hiking trails and camping facilities on site. 

The holidays are a spectacular time to live in Grapevine, thanks to the festivities at the Gaylord Texan. From gingerbread decorating contests to ice skating and snow tubing, there’s something for everyone. Come have breakfast with Charlie Brown and friends, or wander through ICE!, an exhibit retelling the story of the Polar Express using sculptures carved from two million pounds of ice.
